Regarding the future of chess

Dear Lichess Community, Ladies and Gentlemen,
I summon you at this grave hour, not for egoistic purposes, but as a consequence of seeing our world as we know it facing a CRYSIS like perhaps no other. In these dark times, i fear your fear, share your pain and sense your despair, quite frankly, none of us have faced a situation quite like this one before. Many of us have grown with the knowledge that the earth is moving around the sun, the chessboard consists of 64 squares and the king being placed on e1 or e8. While these fundamentals have, for a long time, remained untouched and solid as time passed, one of them has undergone a change, as nothing can remain, for if everything remains, nothing can be created and all is lost. While many revolutions and NEW IDEAS have challenged our deepest beliefs, none of them has ever had an impact like the one we are faced years ago. Im speaking, of course, of nothing other than Chess 960. There will always be rules hindering progress from being made, always people not bright enough to see the future lying ahead of us and thus, there will always be people doubting Chess 960. One of them used his power to supress Chess 960 and LABEL it as an alternative similar to "KotH". Now, if you want to judge a character of a man, look how he treats his inferiors, and if you want Chess to survive, speak up to whom i am talking about.
As we all know, Chess is Art. But Art needs artists. As one of them, i feel obliged to bend to my destiny and sacrifice myself by standing tall for Chess 960 and asking you to do the same. Free Chess 960! For our Future! May Truth prevail and the Sun rise once more!!
Ah, the point, of course:
Please would you make Chess960 count to normal rating again?
As i have proven, the future of chess is at stake.
That was a lot of flowery prose, and it gave me a good chuckle.

Having said that, I share Thibault's confusion. What exactly is the point?

Is that you believe that with chess variants, as with Highlanders, there can be only one? :)
