Chess 960 / Fischer Random variants

Would be good to see chess 960 crazyhouse, chess 960 three check, chess 960 king of the hill, losers, and atomic for instance that would be super so we can play off the cuff with all the different variable rules without relying on book openings
#3 makes a good point. A 960 checkbox when creating a variant game would solve this, but there would be a few challenges to work out, such as how to properly inform the challenge target of whether or not it is 960 while also not cluttering the UI. I imagine it'd be a sizable lot of work to implement, too.

Barring all that (or in the meantime), being able to play from a position in a variant would be a nice touch (might already be possible, but I don't see a way how), along with a 960 position generator in the board editor and analysis board; would be a nice stopgap feature so that you can simply generate the position and then issue the challenge from there.

On a slightly tangential note... Atomic 960? I imagine most of those games would be over in under 10 moves!
Yes! I hate remembering atomic openings, just in order to not lose by move 5 and get a real game going.
+1 for atomic 960. I'd rather play short novel explosive games than the current extensive body of theoretical knowledge.
