Is there an easy way to donate without being assigned the patron status/wing?

It is my understanding that when I donate, I am assigned the patron status and a "wing" is displayed next to my username.

Is there a way to donate to Lichess without showing that flair to others?

afaik, you can also donate while not being logged in.

Unfortunately, no. There is a button that says "Log in to donate".

@LowLevel73 gift it to someone who is very critical about lichess.

not me though. i believe in only making charitable contributions when as many people as possible will notice.
