I see beauty in draws too. What you want is to alter the rules of the game in a way that forces players to take more risks, and therefore make more mistakes and reduce the number of draws. I like the "perfect" moves we see in high level chess, and probably the number of draws we see hints that chess is a drawn game. (imho)
How about roll of dice to determine what opening the players will play?
Chess is fine. If you don't like it, don't participate in it.
Chess would be so great if the people spare us all those useless variants.
