How To Make Chess Exciting Again?

Not castling would be interesting but I wonder if would change anything long term?

I imagine leela would create new openings and GMs would have them memorised pretty quick.

For me at my level, I think the different between boring and entertaining chess is the commentators. If the idea is to increase audience, participation and therefore money in chess, find out what the largest demographic you want to attract likes and cater to them. I think it would be possible to do without changing the rules of chess.

My preference is SuperGM rapid, you can watch it live as it's over in an hour, if the commentators are interesting and knowledgeable it's a lot of fun. If superGMs want to draw every classical game don't promote the events or offer as much prize money as the shorter time control events.
Just play the way u like don't bother by chess engine or gm notation. If u lose, anaylse. Then perfect it by trial and error. Just be brave and creative
I dont really get the problem. Yes the world elite draws quite often, but 99.9%+ of chess players still have a lot of decisive games. And even the highest rated player Carlsen does lose some games from time to time, so why would you try to alter a beautiful game like chess just to possible increase its appeal to the viewers? I think any game should be primarily pleasing to the players.
I think it would be interesting if some tournaments implemented the "pie rule". The first player would make the first move for white, the first move for black, and then the second move for white. Then the second player can choose whether they want to play that position as black or switch and have the first player play as black for the rest of the game. Not only does this make the game potentially more exciting, but it also diminishes the first move advantage for white (because if the first player sets up too strong of an opening, then the second player will choose to switch).
I was proposing something long long time ago, but I think it would be definitely interesting, which is:

1. Establishing tournament where Win = 1 pt, Draw = 0 pts, Loss = 0 pts

yes, only wins count, that should lead to more and more risky things on the board the closer we get to the end of tournament. Current evaluation of draw giving it 0.5 pts is way to generous. Playing for a win is harder, but more interesting for viewers.
