I think @Atrophied deserves some credit for the confession even if it was a week later. I personally think he is an idiot. I think the best way to atone for your sins will be by having to play on laggy chess.com servers from now on. Every time you lose on time, I hope you remember your sins and transgressions.

Atrophied already has long established accounts on ICC, FICS and chess.com. I guess he is their problem now.

What are the time constraints on 45 45 tournment he cheated on?
We thought this "player artificially increases/decreases their rating" meant sand bagging only. I suppose if it was sand bagging only it would read this "the player artificially decreases their rating".

What annoys me the most is looking at the chat in the 45/45 games.

#145 At first I couldn't believe it either. Months ago we played a dual-commentary match and I know he respects his opponents and his audience. Even with a confession I still have difficulty believing or understanding it.
#146 I think you're mostly reacting to his talkative opponent. I'm not a strong enough player to know which ideas were & weren't original. I do think he cares about teaching an audience; time will tell.
His account isn't closed although it's difficult for banned players to find opponents.
